Blast those Oreos!!!!!!

So, my daughter had a birthday party this weekend and I was really good.  I had a small piece of cake and was fine.  We also had some of her favorite food there too.  We had cheetos, oreos, punch, candy and that was about it.  However, the oreos were bought at sams club so we have about 5 billion of those little black disks of cream filled horrors still in my house.  Last night I figured 2 oreos would not hurt me......HA!  The first mistake was thinking I could eat 2 oreos, the second mistake was taking the sleeve with me instead of only the two cookies and the third mistake was eating almost an entire sleeve of oreos while watching TV last night and not even realizing it until I looked down at the sleeve.  I was shocked!  I put the rest away and tried not to think about the fact that I ate 10 oreoes.  That's right 10!  I am not proud of it but it happened and I am a big enough girl to admit my mistakes and move on.  So why am I posting it on here?  So that others on this journey can see just how easy it is to fall into old habits and that if you do just put away the cookies and start back on the right path.  Oh and don't buy oreos at sams club.

  1. No judgement here but just wondering how you even ate 10 Oreos. I have no idea how this works yet but I'm surprised you were able to comfortably eat them. I'm curious because I would totally have done the same. Thanks!

  2. I made the same mistake once by buying the huge box at Costco, planing to portion them out in my son's lunches. Big Mistake! He did get a few lunches with oreos but most of them went...in my mouth! Good luck with working those oreos off!

  3. So glad I am not the only one!!!!! I went home and counted and it was actually 7 oreos, a little better. McGowBerg- to answer you question, I have only had one fill so restriction is not a huge thing right now. I also want to say that you can always find ways to eat around your band. It is the downfall of all bandsters. By dipping the oreos in milk it made them soft and mushy enough that they just rode right past the band and right into my hips. Everyone has different things that go past the band and mushy or soft things is one of mine.

  4. LOL! This made me laugh, not at you, but I completely understand. Just think - how many would you have eaten before the band?? None of us are perfect, and you have such a great outlook. Pick up and move on and be honest about what you did! Thanks so much for sharing and thanks for always being around when I need to sound off!

  5. I know the feeling. I've always thought that it's a good thing I am not into drugs, because as obsessed I am with food - I would be one hot mess. I am the slickest talker (to myself of course) when it comes to rationalizing out - oh, one won't hurt or I'll exercise later and cancel it out... The crazy thing is... I believe myself! I should know better!!!
